Students that are eligible for Veterans Affairs (VA) education
benefits:
The student must submit a Certificate Of Eligibility (COE) for entitlement to educational assistance no later than the first day of the program.
The student must submit a written request to use the entitlement.
The student is allowed to attend the course, beginning when the student provides a COE under chapter 31, 33, or 35 until the earlier date VA provides payment to the school or 90 days after the school certifies tuition and fees.
The school does not impose any penalty, late fees, denial of access to classes, libraries, or school facilities, or require the student to borrow additional funds due to the inability to meet their financial obligations to the institution as a result of delayed payments for education assistance under Chapter 31, 33, or 35 unless the student is less than 100% covered.
Students are obligated to pay the difference between the program cost and the funding received through VA education benefit.
Students must understand that if he/she is a veteran under the GI Bill of Rights program, attendance and "C" grade requirements must be maintained for satisfactory progress. Failure to comply will result in the loss of eligibility for financial aid according to the policy found in this handbook.
Students are responsible for providing the school certifying official (SCO) with their class schedules in a timely manner.
Students are also responsible for notifying SCO of any enrollment changes (adding or dropping courses, program withdrawals, etc.) they make after their enrollment has been certified.
Students receiving Active Duty GI Bill (Chapter 30) and Reserve GI Bill (Chapter 1606) benefits are required to verify their enrollment monthly by Web Automated Verification of Enrollment (WAVE).
Students who are receiving benefits under Dependent’s Education Assistance (Chapter 35) are mailed a monthly verification form (VA Form 22-8979) to verify their enrollment.

Students that are eligible for WIOA funding :
Students must understand that if he/she is a WIO Client under the Northern Virginia Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act, he/she must comply with the Training Agreement between the WIOA client and the Case Manager and "C" grade requirements must be maintained for satisfactory progress. Failure to comply will result in the loss of eligibility for financial aid according to the policy found in this handbook.

Students that are eligible for other funding :
For all other programs that provide financial aid in support with state agencies, it is the student’s responsibility to maintain the performance metrics stated on each program and "C" grade requirements must be maintained for satisfactory progress. Failure to comply will result in the loss of eligibility for financial aid according to the policy found in this handbook.
